In the center of the composition, the Lord of Hosts and Jesus Christ are depicted sitting. Between their halos in radiance is a dove, a symbol of the Holy Spirit.
The tri-hypostatic Deity is surrounded by a ring of fiery cherubim and green seraphim, with the symbols of the four evangelists on four sides. The rest of the icon's space is filled with figures of angels, the Virgin and John the Baptist. The lower ones are represented standing on clouds.
