In 1930 he graduated from the architectural faculty of the Kharkov Art Institute. In 1936-1940 he studied at the postgraduate school of the USSR Academy of Architecture.Until 1936, he worked in Kharkov in design organizations, where he participated in the drafting of planning and reconstruction projects for Zaporizhia, Krivoy Rog, Tbilisi and other cities.He taught at the Kiev Art Institute (professor since 1971).From 1955 to 1973, he was the chief architect of Kiev.Member of the CPSU since 1952.He died on February 17, 1996 in Kiev. He was buried at the Baykov cemetery.
