Nikolai Andreevich Trotsenko was born on December 24, 1938 in a peasant family of the Sumy region. He graduated from the Perekop eight-year school, studied at the Zaporozhye construction school, worked as a carpenter on new buildings in Zaporozhye. After serving the airborne troops, he worked at the Dneprospetsstal plant. He began to learn the secret of drawing at a relatively late age. In 1963 he entered the three-year studio of the Zaporozhye Regional House of Folk Art. He studied at the Faculty of Drawing and Painting of the Moscow People's University. After graduation, he worked for 18 years as a teacher of fine arts and for more than 30 years headed the studio of fine arts "Rainbow" in Perekopovskaya secondary school. Participated in regional, republican and All-Union exhibitions.
