Bodhisattva Guan Yin is the goddess of mercy and compassion. The legends of Guan Yin first appeared in China more than two thousand years ago. The Goddess became especially popular during the Song Dynasty (960-1279). To this day, she continues to be sung and revered as the Goddess of Mercy.
