The casket, decorated with floral ornaments and a sculptural image of a lion, is intended for storing and transferring etrog, one of the four types of plants used during the Sukkot holiday.

Etrog is traditionally wrapped in a soft silk fabric, and put in a casket. From time immemorial, the Jews have greatly appreciated and cherished the etrog. To express respect for the etrog and love for the commandment, the casket was beautifully decorated.
