Alexander Vasilyevich Shevchenko (1883-1948) is a famous Russian avant-garde artist. He studied painting at the Stroganov Art and Industrial College. In 1905 he moved to Paris, where he worked for a year in the workshop of E. Carrier. Before returning to Russia, he traveled to England, Spain, Spain, Egypt and Turkey. Returning to Moscow, he studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture with Arkhipov and Korovin. In the 1910s, A.V. Shevchenko participated in exhibitions of the associations "World of Art", "Union of Youth" and "Donkey Tail".
