Luxurious paired vases are decorated with images of genre scenes and landscapes in figured reserves. The bodies are richly decorated with ornaments depicting the phoenix bird and abundant gilding. Shaped molded handles imitate pomegranate branches with fruits. All images have a rich symbolic meaning. The phoenix bird symbolizes the power of the emperor. Pomegranate fruits are abundance, virtuous offspring and wealth.
