Fyodor Konovalyuk was born on March 22, 1890 in the village of Kalavtsy, Chernihiv region. An outstanding painter, colorist, and illustrator. He studied at the Kiev Art College and the Kiev Art Institute. Teachers: Yezhakevich I., Menk V., Murashko O., Yoganson B., Krichevsky F., Belyaev V. Worked in the field of easel painting and book graphics. Since 1911, he has participated in national and All-Union exhibitions. His first solo exhibition took place in 1955. At the beginning of the twentieth century, Konovalyuk painted icons together with Izhakevich. Main works: illustrations to the works of Kotlyarevsky I. (1939 - 1940), Shevchenko T., paintings "Catherine" (1944); "Messengers of Bogdan Khmelnitsky", a series of landscapes "Kiev" (1908 - 1969) and others. The artist died in 1984.
