Leonid Andreevich Zhabinsky was born on June 11, 1928, in the village of Ryabchik (Chernihiv region). Graduated from the Kiev Art Institute (1967). Teachers of the specialty: V. Bubbles, K. Trofimenko, I. Shtilman. The painter. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1978). He worked in Kiev as a decorator at the Russian Drama Theater. Lesya Ukrainka (1953-1954); in the workshops of the Art Fund of the Ukrainian SSR (1954-1974); chief artist of the Advertising Department (1974-1976); in the Artist Association (1976-1991). Participated in exhibitions: republican (1970). Main works: "The First Day of the War" (1964), "Peonies", "In the Parental home" (1969), "Partisans", "Girl", "Spring Day" (1972), "Bread", "Sea", "Parents' Roads. 1941" (1973), "Dawn towards" (1977), "Motherhood" (1979), "From intelligence", "Ahead is Kiev" (1983), "Thunder", "Mother" (1989), "Matchmaking" (1990s), "Still Life with watermelon" (1991), "Autumn" (1993), "Sadness" (1995), "Dear Mother", "Self-portrait" (1998). The works are kept in the Vinnytsia Historical Museum. He lived and worked in Kiev, died on January 31, 2002.
