Grigory Antonovich Medvedev (1868-1944)Artist, teacher.
Member of the TATAKHHR (1923), member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1932). Graduated in 1894 from the Imperial Academy of Arts, a student of P.P. Chistyakov. After graduating from the academy, he participated in the construction of an art school in Kazan, where he worked as a teacher for twenty-five years, and later as a school director. Among G.A. Medvedev's students Vasily Kirillovich Timofeev and Pavel Alexandrovich Radimov.
