Zurab Platonovich Lezhava (July 9, 1925 — 2011) was a Georgian Soviet artist. People's Artist of the Georgian SSR (1988). Honorary Citizen of Tbilisi (2002). Honorary foreign member of the Russian Academy of Arts.He was engaged in editorial work, 1952-1955 — editor of the journal "Science and Technology"; 1955-1958 — the magazine "Flag".Taught at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts; 1970-1990 Head of the Department of Applied Graphics (now Graphic Design), Professor since 1989.Chairman of the Union of Artists of Georgia (1962-1970), Secretary of the Union of Artists of the USSR (1968-1972).
