Anatoly Nikiforovich Fomin (1925-2013) is a Ukrainian artist who worked in the genres of landscape and genre painting. Born in Aktobe, Russia. Graduated from XX (1960), studied under G. Kolosovsky, was his last student and follower. Participant of Republican and All-Union exhibitions. Member of the Agricultural Academy (since 1964). His works were purchased by the Art Fund and museums of the former Soviet Union. Exhibited at Arcole auctions in France (1988-1990). Collaborates with Edward Krosch galleries (1991-1997, Great Britain, London, Manchester), Road Gallery (1995-1996, Great Britain, London), galleries in Germany (1995-1999, Munich), the Netherlands and (2008, Rotterdam). Fomin's works are in museums in Ukraine, private collections in Great Britain, Germany, Holland, Italy, Switzerland. USA. France, Ukraine, Russia, Finland, Poland, Scotland. He is a prominent representative of the Zaporozhye landscape school, founded by G. Kolosovsky. He lives in Zaporizhia (since 1929).
