Karp Demyanovich Trokhimenko was born on October 25, 1885 in the village of Sushchany, Kiev region. He studied at the Murashko N.I. Drawing School, the Kiev Art College, the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, and the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. Teachers: Seleznev I., Kasatkin N. A., Samokish N. S. Outstanding Ukrainian artist and teacher. People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR. Master of genre, historical and landscape painting. Since 1918, he participated in art exhibitions. In 1968, a personal exhibition of the artist was held in Kiev. His works are represented in art museums, galleries and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. The artist died on October 1, 1979 in Kiev.
