Lidia Brodskaya (1910-1984) is one of the prominent Soviet landscape artists. Being the daughter of an outstanding artist and figure of Soviet culture, Isaac  Brodsky, Lidia Isaakovna grew up in an artistic environment from childhood and was brought up in the art world. In 1935, Brodskaya began to attend the All-Russian Academy of Arts in Leningrad, which was headed by her father, as a free listener. He and his assistant V. A. Serov became her first teachers. Subsequently, after moving to Moscow, she also used the advice of N. P. Krymov and F. P. Reshetnikov. Starting with still lifes, with unassuming full-scale images, L. I. Brodskaya, thanks to the talent, persistent will and accurate methodological advice of her teachers, gradually mastered all the secrets of professional skill. In 1943, she became a member of the Union of Artists. Since that time, her independent creative path as a professional landscape artist began.
