Vasyl Dmitrievich Chegodar – born November 25, 1918, in the village of Krasny Yar, Odessa Oblast. He studied at the Perm Art School and the Kiev Art Institute. Teachers: S. Grigoriev, F. Mikheyev, and E. Shuysky. A master of landscape and still life. Since 1946, he has participated in republican and all-Union exhibitions. Solo exhibitions were held in 1946, 1962, and 1982. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Since 1982, he has been an Honored Artist of Ukraine. His works are represented in museums across Ukraine and private collections. The artist died in 1989.
