Grigory Semyonovich Minsky (1912-2011) - Ukrainian painter. Born in Odessa. He studied at the Dnepropetrovsk art technical school. Graduated from OHI (1936). He graduated from KHI (1947), where he studied under A. Shovkunenko and P. Volokidin. Member of the Soviet Union (since 1956). Participant of the Second World War. Works in the field of easel painting. Participates in national and all-union exhibitions (since 1949). He was awarded the order of the Red Star and medals. Honored Artist of the RSFSR. The artist's works are kept in museums of Ukraine, private collections and galleries in Ukraine, Russia, and Europe. Specializes in genre paintings, portraits, landscapes, and still lifes.
