Viktor Ivanovich Matyushenko was born on June 5, 1925, in the city of Yekaterinoslav (now Dnepropetrovsk). He graduated from the Dnepropetrovsk Art College (1951). The teachers of the specialty are M. Panin, M. Pogrebnyak. He worked in the field of easel painting. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. He was awarded the Orders of Glory, the Red Star and medals. Participated in national exhibitions (since 1960). Main works: "Spring" (1960); "Over the Dnieper" (1961); "Spring Morning", "On the River of Dreams" (1967) and others. He lived and worked in the city of Dnepropetrovsk. He died in 1984.
