Maximenko Nikolay Antonovich was born on December 31, 1924 in the village of Yaropovichi, Zhytomyr region. He studied at the art studio of Degtyarev B., Solovyov Ya. Teacher: Grabar I. Worked in the field of easel painting. Master of landscape and still life painting. Participant of city, national, All-Union and foreign exhibitions. He has held 14 solo exhibitions. Since 1960, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. Since 1994, he has been a National Artist of Ukraine. Mykola Antonovich's works are represented in more than 30 museums in Ukraine and abroad, in numerous gallery and private collections around the world. The artist died in 2016.
