He was born on May 27, 1918 in the village of Krasnopolye (now an urban-type settlement in Sumy region). He studied at the Mikhail Frunze Leningrad Naval College.During 1954-1960. He studied at the Kharkov Art Institute (teachers Vasily Mironenko and Grigory Bondarenko). After receiving an art education, he worked at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Ukrainian SSR and a book publishing house[1]. He lived in Kharkov on 2nd Projektnaya Street.From 1969 to 1994 he worked as the chief artist of the State Industrial Workshops in Yalta. He died in Yalta on December 14, 1994.
