Vitold Kaetanovich Byalynitsky-Birulya was born in the village of Krynki near Belynichi (now Mogilev region, Belarus) on February 29, 1872 in the family of a landowner. He studied at the Kiev Drawing School of N.I.Murashko (1885-1889) and the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1889-1897) under I.M.Pryanishnikov, S.A.Korovin and V.D.Polenov.He was a member of the "Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions", "Union of Russian Artists", "Society named after A.I.Kuindzhi". One of the organizers of the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia. Participated in art exhibitions since 1892 .He continued the tradition of impressionistic landscape – lyrically emotional, marked by the lively, "etude" lightness of colorful writing and love for transitional (especially spring) states of nature ("Spring is Coming" in 1911, "The Ice has Passed" in 1930, "Pensive Days of Autumn" in 1932-1942.; all three works are in the Tretyakov Gallery gallery).
