Moses L. Wolstein was born on April 9, 1916 in Borisov, Belarus. Studied at the Kiev Art Institute. Teachers: Steinberg M., Sharonov M., Fomin O., Shtilman I., Shovkunenko O. Worked in the field of easel painting. He painted together with F.T. Kostenko in the 1940s, and in the 1940s and 1960s with A.A. Filbert He taught at the Lugansk Art College from 1946 to 1958. Since 1945, he has participated in national and All-Union exhibitions. Main works: "The Traitor" (1945); "Unemployed. Old Donbass" (1957); "Donetsk Land" (I960); "Near the Chumatsky Hearth" (1957); "With a Song about the Motherland" (1965) and others. The artist died in 2000.
