Lev Pavlovich Khodchenko was born on August 8, 1912 in the village of Shimanovka, Odessa region. He studied at the Kharkov Art Institute and the Kiev Art Institute. Teachers: Prokhorov S., Sharonov M., Krichevsky F., Yeleva K., and Grigoriev S. Worked in the field of easel painting. Master of landscape and thematic painting. Since 1945, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR. Since 1947, he has participated in national, All-Union and international exhibitions. Since 1990, he has been an Honored Artist of Ukraine. The artist's works are represented in museum, gallery and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. The artist died in 1998.
