Galina Dmitrievna Chechulina (b. 1926) is a famous Soviet sculptor, was born in Vinnytsia, into the family of the famous architect D.N. Chechulin, the author of projects for high-rise buildings in Zaryadye and on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment. Galina Dmitrievna graduated from the Moscow Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts in 1952.

She joined the Dulevsky Porcelain Factory immediately after graduation. The most famous works of the early period were the Firebird triptych and the Tale of the Golden Cockerel triptych. 

Galina Chechulina worked at the Dulevsky Porcelain Factory until 1987. During this time, she created many sculptures, souvenirs and various utensils. Among the main themes of her work were Russian fairy tales, folk festivals, ballet and circus.

After Galina Dmitrievna's husband introduced her to the outstanding ballerina Maya Plisetskaya, the sculptor completed a number of works dedicated to her.

Galina Dmitrievna's talent, multiplied by her work, was reflected in all her works. The expressiveness of forms, the elaboration of details — all this is in the works of the sculptor. Through the language of plastic forms, the author brought to the world of porcelain the charm and warmth that her masterpieces are filled with.

Chechulina G. D. is a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. She is a participant in many domestic and foreign exhibitions.

Galina Chechulina's works are on display at the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts,The All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts, the museum of the Dulevsky Porcelain Factory and in the collections of other museums.
