Alexander Alexandrovich Vabel was born in Karaganda in 1959. He graduated from 8th grade and later deliberately refused to continue his studies in secondary school and university. He considered self-education to be the main thing. He started studying fine arts at the age of 20. His first solo exhibition was held at the House of Architects in 1985, then in 1989 he participated in the exhibition of the well-known at that time group "Caravan" (Karaganda avant-garde). In the mid-1990s, the Karaganda Exhibition Hall of the Art Museum organized a personal exhibition of the artist. The German Expressionists had the greatest influence on the artist, and he considered V. Kandinsky to be his spiritual father. In 1996, the artist moved to Odessa for permanent residence. His works are kept in private collections and galleries in Karaganda, Odessa, Novosibirsk and Germany.
