Pyotr Stepanovich Sulimenko was born on July 16, 1914 in the city of Yekaterinodar (Krasnodar). He studied at the Krasnodar Art College, the Rostov Art College, and the Kiev State Art Institute. Teachers: A.A. Shovkunenko, K.N. Yeleva, A.I. Sirotenko, A.I. Fomin, S.N. Yerzhikovsky Worked in the field of easel painting. Master of portrait and landscape painting. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Since 1946, he participated in national, All-Union, and foreign art exhibitions. Personal exhibitions of the artist were held in 1957 in Moscow and Kiev, in 1978 in Krasnodar, in 1989 in Kiev. His works are represented in the National Art Museum of Ukraine, the Sevastopol Art Museum, and in numerous museum, gallery, and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. Peter Stepanovich died in 1996.
